Edelio Bermejo is a Spanish-French bi-national, holding a PhD in Materials Science. With a 29 years’ experience in the cement industry in product development, marketing and operations, Edelio was CEO of a cluster of 11 countries for 6 years before taking the lead of the Holcim Innovation Center. 

His primary responsibility is to accelerate the time to market of existing R&D projects, strengthen the new product pipeline and foster a more visible innovation culture and external partnerships around new ideas and business models such as the decarbonation of the construction industry. He is also a speaker at various international scientific seminars and forums, in particular those related to sustainability.

Shajay is an Associate Director at Zaha Hadid Architects where he co-founded and heads the Computation and Design research group (ZHACODE, 2007). He is an alumnus and a studio-master at the post-graduate course of Design Research Laboratory at the Architectural Association, London (AADRL, 2006). There he explores the intersection of computational geometry, video game technology, urban development, and industrialised construction. 

Shajay pursued his scientific interests in digital design and robotic fabrication during his Doctoral studies at the Block Research Group (BRG, 2022) at the ETH, Zurich and previously as a M.Phil. graduate from University of Bath (2016).

Sandra Boivin is Head of R&D for Solutions & Products at the Holcim Innovation Center near Lyon, France. She focuses on reducing carbon emissions in the built environment and is a member of the Holcim Foundation Awards 2025 jury for Europe. She has also served on the juries for the Asia Pacific and European regions in previous years. Sandra holds degrees in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Structures and Materials, and has worked in various roles at Holcim, including research and development, marketing, and sales. She is passionate about open innovation and works with the Holcim Accelerator to support promising startups in the construction industry.

Remi Barbarulo is the Head of R&D in Cement at Holcim Innovation Centre. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and physico-chemistry of building materials from ENS Paris-Saclay and Université Laval. At Holcim, he is leading research and innovation efforts, driving the development of sustainable construction materials and technologies, overseeing a team to bring new solutions to market.

Rozemarijn Wesby is VP Global Head of Plants of Tomorrow at Holcim. She holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Exeter. Through Plants of Tomorrow, Holcim is boosting the competitive edge of its operations and products and optimizing its environmental footprint. 

She is responsible for leading one of the largest roll-outs of Industry 4.0 technologies in the building materials industry, Roze oversees a global team that implements cutting-edge digital and process innovation technologies across more than 260 integrated cement plants and more than 50 countries.

Viktoria Nikulshyna holds a PhD in Mechanical engineering from ETH Zürich. She has a proven track record in driving strategic initiatives in the energy sector. She has a strong focus on Industrial Decarbonization, with 20 years of industrial and academic experience in CCUS and Hydrogen Technologies, Power Generation and Business Development. In her current role as Head of Hydrogen, she is responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing corporate hydrogen strategy based on organizational net-zero targets, market dynamics, technological advancements, business objectives, regulatory developments and policy frameworks.

Christophe Albert is Hydrogen Value Chain Leader at Holcim Technology, Switzerland. He holds a Master's degree in engineering from ECAM La Salle university in Lyon, France. 

Christophe has 15 years of experience in cement manufacturing and a diverse background at Holcim, having worked in preventive maintenance, mobile fleet management, and business intelligence, before transitioning to his current role in the decarbonization function where he focuses on developing hydrogen use as a fuel in the Holcim cement plants
